Moss was born February 13, 1977. He is an American football player. He played
for the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots (New England
Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans) and the San Francisco 49ers in
the National Football League. Alongside Jerry Rice, he is widely considered the
greatest wide receiver in history. Moss holds the NFL single-year touchdown
record (23 in 2007), and the rookie NFL single season touchdown reception mark (17
in 1998). He is 2nd on the NFL all-time regular season touchdown receptions
list with 156. Moss is famous for his ability to catch contested passes. The
term "mossed" was coined by the NFL and has now entered the football
vocabulary, became popularized due to the fact that he was a successful. He
began his career as a studio announcer for ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown and
Tuesday Night Countdown shows. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. He
attended DuPont High School. It was one of two schools that eventually merged
to form Riverside High School. There was a great player in football, basketball
track, track and other sports. Randy was also on the school's debate team. Moss
was a DuPont Panthers' football player who led them to two consecutive state
championshipsin 1992 and 1993. His most prominent position was wide receiver.
However, he also played free safety as well as punted kickoffs. He also was the
team's punter as well as kicker. He was honored with the Kennedy Award in 1994
as West Virginia's Football Player of the Year. Parade magazine named him to
their All-American high-school football team in the year 1995, and in 2009, he
was named one of the 50 best high school football players ever.
